A close friend commissioned a baby quilt for her sister's baby who will be here any minute now, so I finished it just in time! I've only made a few quilts, one for my sister in law a few years ago, a couple of small new born blanket backed with soft minky fabric. So I was excited to tackle a real quilt again. She chose the fabric squares and I chose the back and border/binding fabric. It measure 27x31 and I couldn't be more happy with it. Unfortunately the best angle I got when photographing it is very blurry, but you can still see the gorgeous colors and the love I put into this quilt.
I hope to have some quilts in my shop some day, they are a lot of work and I'm not great a binding just yet, but I very much enjoy making them, especially piecing together such pretty prints and colors.
